When Christy Clark (sp.?) was going for reelection, someone pointed out that Canada has elected women Premiers but we've never reelected them, and I can't help but notice the trend.

1. You got her name right on the first try.

2. That "no re-elections" trend is also real. And also Disturbing. Someone is going to have to be the first to break that trend.

1. Excellent! There are too many spellings of Christy and I panicked.

2. Won't be me, I wrote way too much gay slash fic to ever run for office. I was hoping it would be Rachel Notley or Kathleen Wynn, but apparently we do not live in the best of all possible worlds.

I doubt that we're done with either Notley or Wynne just yet. Both of them strike me as just too useful in politics to throw away forever. We'll see what happens.

Neither of them is the Mayor Pete of my heart <3 but either of them is so much better than most national or provincial options.
