Winding down Can-Con 2011 Day 1

Some quick points before I go to bed tonight:

1. I'm at Can-Con right now and will be here right through to the end. Been meeting old and new friends(including several of you on my LJ friendlist), sitting on a panel with Jonathan Crowe discussing maps in science fiction and fantasy and having a blast.

Failed to notice where the mini-fridge in my room was for the better part of six hours, which makes me a bona fide idiot, but that did get solved eventually: it was "hidden" in a plainly-labelled cabinet in the room's desk.

(Note to self: Always pay attention to obvious things: like labels on cabinets and such. It will save a lot of grief later on...although it'll also deprive friends of joke fodder, which may be an act of cruelty to be avoided as well.)

2. tartysuz and seanchaidh both had their birthday celebrations today, or so I hope! Were they good ones?

Thanks! I'm going to have official birthday celebrations next week, when the local film society plays the 1966 Batman TV movie on the big screen!
