Ken Dryden at WritersFest

In addition to his work in the House, he's also written the occasional book. His latest being Becoming Canada. I happened to be at the NAC at noon today to watch him promote both the book and a discussion that I suspect was already underway before he began researching it: what might we do if we dare imagine ourselves able to do it?

Heh, cool. I actually dated his niece back in Victoria for three years. I never met Ken, but I met his brother Dave. Too bad I am not a hockey fan :)

I am now beginning to think that in Canada, degrees of separation between any "normal" person and random celebrities may be safely reduced from six to three. Possibly two.

Heh, I also had a relative (a brother of my grandfather I believe) once tell me that I was somehow related to two of the members of Crash Test Dummies. Too bad I don't really care for their music (nor have I ever met them) :)
