This news makes me SO HAPPY. Two uplifting political developments--Wab Kinew is the premier of Manitoba (with a majority!), and Greg Fergus is the speaker of the House of Commons. I'm almost afraid to say it, but one could get used to this kind of thing.

While I was waiting for more info to be put on the news, I look up Wab Kinew on wikipedia. Ah - a complicated person. Sometimes impetuous leading to some personal rebranding. I still think he is a good idea - and I'm really glad to see a legislature with a majority - but the opposition is going to enjoy sharing some of his past.
