Going Digging Through the Stacks...

...of my very disorganized personal library, I rediscovered my copy of Naomi Klein's Shock Doctrine. I suspected as much, and my memory didn't betray me. Chapters 11 and 12 are devoted to what might be called an inquest or autopsy into some of the other root causes of Grazhdanin Putin's rise to political dominance in Moskva.

And from there, I think I'll spend part of the afternoon watching Agents of SHIELD as I catch up on my e-mail.

More on other matters as the day wears on.

I spent several hours last night reorganizing my Humble Bundle downloads, a week ago I spent a few hours downloading my free downloads from Packt Publishing. Since I get, pretty much, a free ebook from them daily, I really need to download them monthly to keep on top of it.

My physical library -- well, I'm hoping that when we get back from Phoenix, late next week, that I can attack that and do a major purge. Whether or not my wife also does a purge, we shall see.

We did a river cruise from Prague to Berlin in '15, pretty much every place we stopped was Eastern Europe before the Wall came down. I found out that Vlad was in charge of Dresden when the Wall fell. Definitely not a pleasant chappie.
