JOBS: Google Hangouts? Forget It.

I am not accepting job interview invites via Google Hangouts. Someone already tried to ID-theft me via that route once. Never again.

comments

RIP Google Plus - Effective August 2019

Seems (relatively) quick on the trigger, but...oh well. It's nice having that service available to me while it lasts.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/technology/alphabet-google-1.4855092

comments

Two thoughts

1. The GMail log-in problem is resolved to my satisfaction.

2. Just had a thought re: Star Trek: Discovery.

That tribble on Lorca's desk. *Also* from the Mirror Universe?

comments

Problem with Google

What the Hell is Google up to in getting rid of security questions?!?

What I really dislike that it seems that now, everytime I try to check GMail via my laptop machine, Google gives me this: "This device isn't recognized. For your security, Google wants to make sure it's really you." I've only been using that same laptop machine for close to a decade.

comments

Chrome Apps "Deprecated"

As someone who still uses the Chrome browser for a few things - like watching some TV shows via Bell-affiliated channels - I'm worried about this bit of news on Ars Technica.

comments
