So I was looking at maps of the FASA-Trek roleplaying game as well as Memory Beta entries today while I job-searched. Had a thought about where Starbase 20 might be in a map that tries to fit FASA's Triangle region into a largely-Mandel-compliant design...

ART: An Observation on Pens and Markers

Some of these things, I've had for over 20 years. My Dad was still alive when I bought them. (And he rolled his eyes about my buying habits at Wallacks and DeSerres because...well.) Anyway, I'd expect all of them to be dried up and out of order permanently because of the age issues.

Not so!

Some testing over the course of this morning whilst checking assorted job boards for more conventional day-jobs (I can't give up on that either!) has proven some of the oldest of these to still be somewhat functional. I'll try to work up a list of effective brands later today or tonight, okay?

Meantime, lunch calls.

Good morning.

Just heading off to work in a minute. I think I'll take the bus this morning rather than the train because it's familiar. I need "familiar" today. Will use the train - between Blair and downtown because Blair is where it starts for me - tomorrow to see how it affects my travel time.

Flickr Question

I just tried to add two pictures to my Flickr account photostream this morning. So, I know that Flickr Uploadr still works properly despite the change of management at Flickr. For now.

Also, I can look at my Flickr photostream with my preferred browser, but I can't log in to edit my stuff there with said browser version. Oh well.

GAIA Sky 2.0 Notes - Installment One

I tried GAIA Sky 2.0 out on my newer-yet-still-second-hand Macbook this afternoon. Had a fair bit of difficulty working with the user interface after an hour or so. Not impossible, but I do need to do some further studying with it.
