I did get to see the parade, didn't walk the whole route from City Hall to McNabb Park this year. I did manage to photograph - I hope - every contingent in the parade itself, and expect to have a selection of pix from that trip uploaded to Flickr within the next week or two.

More later...

I was heartened to see (A) that labor unions are having a bit of a resurgence in the Drumpf Era, and (ii) the union that represents workers that operates the Walmart chain in Chile recently settled for a new contract to keep the stores open. They've been working without a new contract since July while negotiations continued.

Labor unions have their pluses and minuses, but we wouldn't have a middle class without them, and our middle class is rapidly vanishing without them. We need them back!
